Construction Manager

Overview

Mirage is seeking a Construction Project Manager to oversee delivery of a project or project section so that it is finished on schedule, stays within budget, and achieves the intended project outcomes. In this role, you will support the Project Director or Senior Project Manager across the full project lifecycle, helping coordinate the processes and procedures needed to keep the work moving smoothly.

The ideal person for this position is a strong manager and communicator who can solve problems, stay organized, and bring solid knowledge and hands-on experience in construction project management.

Qualifications and Experience

• A university-level qualification in Project Management, Building Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Architecture, or a closely related field is required.
• A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in project management and the construction sector is needed.
• Your career should show increasing levels of responsibility over time.
• Experience on projects of similar scale, especially hotel developments, is preferred.
• Prior work experience in the UAE is an advantage.
• Membership in a relevant professional body will be considered a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver a high standard of service that aligns with Mirage’s expectations and professional project management standards.
• Review project delivery plans, identify gaps or inefficiencies, and put corrective actions in place.
• Oversee a project or project section to meet quality, schedule, and budget goals.
• Support the management of construction contracts.
• Lead value engineering workshops and contribute to cost-effective solutions.
• Hold regular progress discussions with the Planning Manager.
• Provide input for assessing and responding to contractor delay claims.
• Build trust and confidence in dealings with clients and key stakeholders.
• Run meetings, prepare minutes, and ensure actions are followed through.
• Coordinate and motivate multi-disciplinary teams and colleagues.
• Take part in the procurement process.
• Contribute detailed content for monthly and other project reports, including recommendations.
• Spot potential issues early and develop mitigation measures.
• Participate in risk analysis workshops.
• Oversee commissioning and project close-out activities.
• Carry out any other project management duties assigned by the Project Director or Senior Project Manager.
