Role Overview

Biomerics is seeking a Compensation Analyst to help shape, maintain, and improve compensation programs. In this role, you will work with compensation data, market benchmarks, and internal structures to support pay practices that are fair, competitive, and aligned with business priorities. Your work will contribute to compensation frameworks that help attract, retain, and motivate high-performing talent.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review compensation information to assess internal fairness and market competitiveness, including salary levels, job profiles, and total pay packages, and recommend changes where needed.
  • Carry out market studies and compensation benchmarking, interpreting industry trends and turning findings into practical recommendations.
  • Help build, maintain, and align job families, salary bands, and pay structures with both business objectives and prevailing market practices.
  • Generate and update reports on compensation measures, trends, and comparisons while ensuring accuracy and data consistency across systems.
  • Track compliance with applicable federal, state, and local requirements, and adjust processes when regulations change.
  • Support the creation, administration, and review of incentive and bonus plans, including suggestions for improvement.
  • Respond to questions from employees and leaders regarding pay structures, pay adjustments, and incentive programs, communicating clearly and professionally.
  • Look for ways to improve compensation processes and increase operational efficiency.
  • Use compensation systems and tools effectively, maintain data quality and system performance, and coordinate with IT teams and vendors to solve issues.
  • Partner with HR, finance, and other stakeholders to ensure compensation practices support organizational goals and related initiatives.
  • Contribute to broader total rewards efforts, including benefits, wellness offerings, and employee perks, so they complement compensation strategy.
  • Assist with the assessment and rollout of Workday modules connected to compensation and total rewards.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline, or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
  • A compensation certification such as CCP is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • At least 2 years of experience in compensation analysis or a similar area.
  • Solid understanding of compensation concepts, practices, and regulatory considerations.
  • Hands-on experience with compensation platforms and tools such as PayScale, MarketPay, or Compensate.
  • Experience using Workday HCM, especially the compensation and/or benefits modules; prior Workday implementation exposure is an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with total rewards programs, including benefits, wellness, and perks, and the ability to connect them to compensation strategy.
  • Strong analytical ability with the capability to interpret complex data and turn it into actionable insights.
  • Good communication skills, with the confidence to present data and recommendations to managers and stakeholders.
  • High integrity and sound judgment when dealing with confidential information.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively while handling multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
