Role overview
Tata Consultancy Services is hosting a face-to-face hiring drive for an Azure Data Engineer position in Visakhapatnam. The role is intended for experienced professionals with 4 to 12 years of relevant experience, and the interview drive is scheduled for 4 July 2026 (Saturday) between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM.
Core technical work
- Build and support ETL workflows using Azure Databricks, with a focus on PySpark and Spark SQL.
- Work extensively with dataframes through different APIs and apply Spark functions for transformation tasks.
- Design and implement advanced data transformations and reusable processing logic.
- Use SQL effectively for querying, shaping, and validating data.
- Apply user-defined functions where needed to solve processing requirements.
- Handle exceptions, maintain logs, and set up monitoring for data workflows.
- Use Unix-based utilities and scheduling tools as part of the delivery process.
- Improve Spark performance and develop efficient generic processing components.
Domain and business focus
- Work with large financial datasets, including transactions and customer information.
- Develop data pipelines that support AML, KYC, risk management, and regulatory reporting needs.
- Integrate and process data coming from core banking, payments, and trading systems.
- Support audit activities and regulatory obligations through reliable data processing and traceability.
- Maintain strong data quality controls, governance practices, and lineage tracking.
- Partner with business and compliance stakeholders to align technical delivery with enterprise requirements.
