Yard Coordinator

Overview

Cooper Equipment Rentals is seeking a customer-focused, driven Yard Coordinator to join its professional team in Langley, British Columbia. The role supports daily yard operations, equipment handling, and site cleanliness in a safety-first rental environment.

Applicants must currently live in Canada and be legally eligible to work there.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean, wash, and detail equipment using pressure washers, vacuums, and cleaning products.
• Keep the yard and wash bay tidy, organized, and safe.
• Support drivers during loading and unloading of equipment.
• Use forklifts and other construction equipment as needed.
• Inspect returned equipment for damage, report issues, and complete service tags for all items coming back to the yard.
• Comply with all health and safety procedures and practices.
• Help with fueling, tire storage, and moving equipment when required.
• Coordinate with coworkers and supervisors to keep work flowing efficiently.

Qualifications

• Valid Class G/5 driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record; no more than 3 demerit points.
• Ability to provide an up-to-date driver’s abstract if requested.
• Enough physical stamina to remain on your feet for extended periods and lift about 50 lbs.
• Forklift certification or prior experience operating forklifts and/or construction equipment is considered an advantage.
• Comfort working outdoors throughout the year in varying weather conditions.
• Willingness to work overtime when needed.
• Mechanical aptitude or hands-on experience with equipment is beneficial.
• Strong troubleshooting and organizational abilities.
• Ability to adapt quickly and perform well in a busy, fast-paced setting.
• Customer-service mindset, self-motivated approach, and solid teamwork skills.
• Eagerness to learn about construction equipment and the rental business.
• Comfort using computers and technology for inspections, inventory tracking, and related tasks.
