Role overview

B&Q is hiring a Shift Lead for its Castlepoint store in Dorset, England. This position is available as full time, part time, or job share, with a weekly commitment of 36.75 hours. It is a permanent role and includes shift coverage across Monday to Sunday, with working hours between 6:00 am and 10:00 pm. The role is a keyholder position, so shifts may start as early as 6:00 am and finish as late as 10:00 pm.

The advertised full-time equivalent pay is £27,709.50 per year, along with pension coverage and 6.6 weeks of holiday. B&Q aims to help customers create homes they love by offering ideas, guidance, products, and confidence, and the Shift Lead plays an important part in delivering that experience.

What you will do

In this position, you will help keep the store safe, well run, and welcoming for both customers and colleagues. You will oversee your shift and make sure daily operations stay on track while supporting a strong in-store experience.

• Act as the day-to-day point person for the store and keep operations running smoothly.
• Allocate colleagues effectively so customer needs are met throughout the shift.
• Serve as the main contact for both customers and team members.
• Maintain a safe environment across the store at all times.
