QA Engineer

Role Overview

We are hiring an experienced QA Specialist / QA Engineer to support a Technology & Digital Solutions function that is expanding alongside business growth and digital transformation efforts. This position is centered on safeguarding the quality, stability, speed, and dependability of digital products, including applications, APIs, integrations, and booking systems, so customers have a smooth experience across web, mobile, and reservation channels.

The selected professional will partner with engineering, product, business, and operations stakeholders to confirm requirements, surface issues early, strengthen release quality, and verify that solutions satisfy functional, performance, security, and usability standards before launch.

Core Responsibilities

• Carry out complete functional testing across web apps, mobile apps, APIs, and booking solutions.
• Check end-to-end business flows for Flights, Hotels, Transfers, Activities, Insurance, and other travel-related offerings.
• Build, update, and manage test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
• Run regression, smoke, sanity, integration, and user acceptance tests.
• Log, classify, prioritize, and monitor defects in Jira, Azure DevOps, or comparable systems.
• Test APIs using Postman, Swagger, or similar tools.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for key business journeys.
• Verify third-party connections, payment gateways, and booking transactions.
• Perform load and performance testing to assess reliability and scalability.
• Test across multiple browsers, devices, and operating systems.
• Check security behavior such as login protection, access control, and safe handling of customer information.
• Assist with release checks, deployment validation, post-release verification, and production-readiness reviews.
• Prepare QA summaries, testing records, and release approval notes.
• Work in close coordination with developers, product managers, business analysts, and operations teams.
• Keep current on modern QA tools, automation approaches, and testing practices.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline is required.
• Between 5 and 10 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, Testing, or Quality Engineering.
• Strong background in manual testing and QA lifecycle activities.
• Exposure to automation testing tools and frameworks is an added advantage.
• Good understanding of API testing, web testing, mobile testing, and cross-browser testing methods.
• Comfort with Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
• Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner is preferred.
• Prior work in travel, tourism, OTA, airline, hospitality, or booking platforms will be beneficial.
• Excellent analytical ability, troubleshooting skills, communication, and problem-solving capability are essential.
