Managing Editor (Digital Content)

Overview

This is a remote contract opportunity for a writers and authors profile focused on managing and refining AI-generated digital content. The assignment is part-time and is expected to require between 10 and 40 hours each week. Compensation is set at $49 to $61 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

• Review AI-produced content and edit it so it is clear, accurate, and aligned with style standards.
• Create and refine training materials and datasets that help improve narrative flow and language quality in AI systems.
• Work alongside data scientists and machine learning engineers by sharing practical feedback that supports ongoing model training.
• Spot recurring issues in AI outputs and use those patterns to help improve model performance and reduce mistakes.
• Research current writing trends and accepted best practices to guide AI training approaches.
• Present findings and recommendations clearly to both technical teams and non-technical partners.

Requirements

• Prior experience as a writer, author, editor, or in a similar position, backed by a solid portfolio of published work.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail and language nuance.
• Comfort using AI tools, machine learning concepts, or digital content creation platforms.
• Ability to assess, revise, and improve both short-form and long-form content.
• Strong organization, analysis, and time-management skills, especially in a remote work setting.
