Role Overview

The company is hiring a Founding Software Engineer to help design and build the systems behind The Flex’s future. This is a high-ownership role where you will work directly with the founder, contribute to product direction, make important technical choices, and lay the groundwork for a global business.

From the start, you will have substantial responsibility, autonomy, and the chance to make a meaningful impact.

What You Will Build

In this role, you will help develop and scale Base360.ai, the core platform supporting the company’s operations.

Your work will span AI-driven workflows, booking tools, automation systems, and decision-support products that influence revenue, efficiency, and customer experience. The goal is not just to deliver features, but to create systems that reduce manual work, support growth, and give the company a lasting advantage.

Key Mission Areas

• Develop the software that supports bookings, pricing, payments, operations, communications, and guest interactions.
• Help define the platform’s long-term technical structure and make major architecture decisions.
• Build scalable automation to manage operational processes across multiple countries and thousands of stays.
• Create AI-enabled tools, agents, and workflows that improve productivity, decision-making, and customer experience.
• Design and maintain integrations with Airbnb, Hostaway, Stripe, Twilio, Google, OpenAI, and other key partners.
• Work quickly and independently, turning ideas into production-ready solutions with urgency and accountability.
• Address complex challenges such as reservation syncing, dynamic pricing, smart access control, guest messaging automation, operational forecasting, cleaning and maintenance automation, AI alerts and monitoring, and revenue optimization.
• Contribute beyond coding by helping shape processes, team culture, product direction, and the future engineering organization.

Technology Environment

The current stack includes Python, FastAPI, React, TypeScript, Supabase, PostgreSQL, AWS, OpenAI APIs, Stripe, Twilio, Docker, and GitHub Actions.

The company values the ability to learn and build over familiarity with any single tool or framework.

What The Team Is Looking For

The ideal candidate brings strong engineering fundamentals, has built production-ready applications, and understands APIs, databases, and system design well. A product-oriented mindset, customer focus, independent working style, and strong problem-solving ability are essential.

High ownership, accountability, and comfort with minimal supervision are also important for success in this role.

Preferred Background

Experience in startups is a plus, along with exposure to AI products, LLM integrations, or SaaS platforms. Familiarity with FastAPI, React, AWS, or Supabase is beneficial. Experience in marketplace, travel, or PropTech environments would also be an advantage.
