Executive - Process Engineering

Role summary

This position is focused on driving process engineering activities for industrialization, mass production support, and standardization within the assigned area. The role also contributes to equipment development, line readiness, efficiency improvement, and adherence to safety and environmental practices.

Key mission

• Take ownership of industrializing the new P1 program.
• Improve manufacturing efficiency across machine performance and direct labor within the scope of the role.
• Capture process knowledge and circulate best practices for the industrial domain.
• Contribute to the design of new equipment and new production lines.
• Facilitate Lean design workshops.

Industrialization responsibilities

• Handle introduction of production equipment through IPROM.
• Track the development of equipment and assembly lines with suppliers.
• Develop small tools and review supplier proposals for suitability.
• Set acceptance standards for new equipment or production lines.
• Carry out pre-acceptance and final acceptance checks on equipment.
• Run trials on production lines and document the findings in reports.
• Create action plans and monitor them until readiness for FDPR.
• Measure and/or gather equipment and process capability data.
• Set up equipment and propose the process validation plan.
• Contribute to PFMEA and control plan activities.

Mass production responsibilities

• Track QCDM performance and suggest improvements.
• Continuously review equipment performance with an optimization mindset.
• Work on cycle time reduction to improve investments, material usage, and labor cost.
• Update routings in the information system with SPV approval.
• Support production technicians through training, analysis, and problem solving.
• Coordinate with suppliers for improvement actions and technical support.
• Take part in SPV workshops.
• Participate in APU QRQC activities.

Standardization responsibilities

• Review and approve PG RAISE and CdC standards prepared by standard owners.
• Validate standard changes proposed by sites.
• Understand, follow, and promote applicable PG, site, and corporate standards.
• Apply SPV rules consistently in the area of work.

Environment, safety, and workplace discipline

• Ensure compliance with Valeo Group safety and environment procedures.
• Maintain 5S conditions and report any issues found.
• Escalate any observed breach of safety rules.
