Data Analyst (Excel)

Position Overview

This is a contract Data Analyst role focused on working remotely from Canada. The assignment calls for 10 to 40 hours of work each week and offers compensation in the range of $40 to $55 per hour.

What You’ll Do

• Use Microsoft Excel to dig into data, uncover practical insights, and help guide business decisions.
• Work closely with project stakeholders to clarify data needs and shape the analysis accordingly.
• Inspect, clean, and verify datasets so that the information remains reliable, consistent, and accurate.
• Create concise reports and visual outputs that make findings easy to understand for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Spot patterns, irregularities, and potential opportunities within complex data and use those findings to support strategic work.
• Record the approach used, key results, and suggested actions with strong attention to detail.

What We’re Looking For

• Hands-on experience carrying out data analysis in a business setting, with Microsoft Excel as the main tool.
• A high level of precision and care when handling data and producing reports.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills, with the ability to explain analytical outcomes clearly.
• Comfort working with cross-functional teams and contributing to shared business goals.
• Strong command of Excel formulas, functions, and charting or visualization features.
