Tasks
As a Purview Expert (m/w/d) located in Germany, you will specialize in managing and leveraging Purview for data security and compliance.
Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the effective organization, protection, and management of organizational data assets for our customers. You will work closely with stakeholders to implement solutions that meet regulatory and security requirements while optimizing data accessibility and utility.
Classification & Labelling: Assess, design & implement information protection schemes for Clients, including sensitivity labels & encryption, sensitive information types and auto-labelling capabilities within Purview.
Data Loss Prevention: Design and implement Data Loss Prevention across the M365 stack and users’ endpoints in an effective manner that minimizes impact on users, while following the customers’ internal policies.
Data Retention: Design and implement data retention solutions, based on the customers’ legal, regulatory and contractual requirements.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with cross-functional teams (both within NVISO and in customers) to understand data requirements and design strategies that leverage Purview to enhance data management and compliance.
Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and ensure adherence to data privacy and protection regulations by utilizing Purview’s compliance capabilities to mitigate risks.
Solution Design and Development: Develop and implement best practices for data protection & governance within Purview. Engage in Business development and pre-sales activities.
Training and Support: Provide training and technical support to colleagues on Purview capabilities, fostering knowledge and competency in data governance practices.
Requirements
You hold citizenship in one of the 32 NATO member states or the Austrian citizenship;
Excellent communication skills in English and German;
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred;
Experience: Extensive experience (5+ years) working with Microsoft Cloud technologies, with specialized expertise (2+ years) in Microsoft Purview;
Technical Skills: Proficiency in configuring and managing Microsoft Purview, and experience with its interactions with other Microsoft 365 technologies such as Defender for Cloud Apps, Defender for Endpoint, etc. (i.e. Defender XDR);
Regulatory Knowledge: Solid understanding of data protection regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, and CCPA, and experience ensuring compliance within Purview environments.
