UI Developer

Role overview

Lenovo is looking for a UI Developer in Bengaluru to contribute to cloud-native products across both the front end and supporting backend services. The role combines user interface work, service development, and collaboration with multiple engineering functions to deliver reliable, scalable software.

What you will do

• Create and improve user interfaces and related UI flows for cloud-based applications.
• Develop interfaces that are responsive, easy to use, and visually intuitive.
• Build scalable microservices and RESTful backend services with Python, Go, or Node.js.
• Take part in architecture discussions, source code reviews, issue diagnosis, and troubleshooting.
• Produce secure, high-quality, maintainable code that follows engineering standards.
• Work closely with architects, DevOps, QA, and product stakeholders throughout development.
• Contribute to better application performance, reliability, scalability, and operational effectiveness.
• Use AI-supported development methods and modern engineering tools to speed up delivery and improve productivity.

What we are looking for

• 3 to 6 years of hands-on professional software development experience.
• Strong coding ability in Python, Go, or Node.js.
• Practical experience building UI applications with Angular and applying modern UI/UX principles.
• Solid understanding of microservices, REST APIs, databases, and distributed system concepts.
• Working knowledge of Linux, containers, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with best practices such as peer code review, unit testing, and debugging.
• Good analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and communication skills.
• Exposure to GitHub Copilot or similar AI-assisted development tools is an advantage.
• Experience with performance tuning, scalability, and reliability engineering is preferred.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms and Kubernetes-based deployment environments is a plus.

Work setting

This is a full-time, onsite position based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
