Role overviewThis position is for a Territory Sales Manager based in Kanpur, focused on the aftermarket business for lubricant brands. The role centers on delivering sales volume, managing revenue and trade receivables, and developing the distributor and dealer ecosystem across the assigned territory.What you will handleDeliver sales targets by shaping territory-level sales plans from broader regional direction.Expand volume and distribution reach within the assigned area.Oversee receivables collection in line with the applicable credit policy.Set primary network goals with attention to growth, outflow, and market potential.Develop stronger relationships with key customers across the territory.Design and execute demand-generation initiatives in the market.Plan and run dealer and mechanic engagement meets as part of customer outreach.Use the A&P budget efficiently and ensure it is deployed for maximum impact.Implement centrally planned strategies, promotions, and campaign activities effectively.Track competition and business conditions to build useful market intelligence.Ensure compliance with the company’s health and safety requirements.Plan, control, and monitor expenses through effective tracking systems.Map the secondary network, assess its performance, and act to improve stability and growth.Monitor distributor sales team performance closely to keep delivery aligned with budget expectations.Support and conduct demand generation activities across the territory.Candidate profileThe ideal applicant should be a graduate, preferably with a degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Automobile Engineering, or a qualification in Marketing or Business Management. The role requires 6 to 8 years of sales experience, including at least 2 years in a similar role with comparable responsibilities and scope. Strong team management skills and the ability to lead people effectively are important for success in this position.Additional detailsThis is a full-time, on-site role in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India.
