Role Overview
As a Project Engineer in Saudi Arabia, you will serve as the technical bridge between industrial needs and Forbes Marshall’s engineering solutions. This is a field-focused position where you will advise clients, support project planning, shape specifications, and help expand the company’s presence across the Kingdom’s industrial sectors.
Role Purpose
The position is centered on promoting sustainability and operational improvement. Your work will focus on finding efficiency opportunities, introducing steam and control solutions, and helping industrial partners move toward higher productivity and lower environmental impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Use strong knowledge of steam boilers and steam systems to support stakeholders as a technical specialist.
- Monitor upcoming industrial projects across major industrial areas and growing economic regions in Saudi Arabia.
- Build relationships with consultants and contractors involved in large steam and thermal energy projects.
- Support projects from the early design phase so Forbes Marshall solutions are included in specifications.
- Handle the process of getting Forbes Marshall added to approved vendor lists with consultants and contractors.
- Run technical workshops and training sessions for consultants and contractors on new engineering solutions.
- Carry out benchmarking studies to show the efficiency and reliability advantages of Forbes Marshall offerings.
- Manage a portfolio of customers and perform site visits to identify operational gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Prepare detailed technical reports with evidence-based insights on system condition and performance.
- Recommend customized solutions that improve energy efficiency, productivity, and environmental outcomes.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree (B.Sc. or B.E.) in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Power, Chemical, or Instrumentation & Control Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers, or eligibility to obtain it, is required for local compliance.
- At least 3 to 9 years of experience in project engineering, technical sales, or industrial utility management, preferably in Saudi Arabia.
- Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer; exposure to steam systems, boilers, or process automation is a plus.
- Experience in manufacturing environments such as petrochemicals, food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, or heavy utilities is preferred.
- The candidate must already be based in Saudi Arabia, hold a valid transferable Iqama, and be able to start after a reasonable notice period.
- Experience working with EPC contractors, engineering consultants, and plant managers, especially at the specification stage, is important.
- Excellent English communication skills for reporting and presentations; Arabic fluency is an added advantage.
- A consultative, solution-oriented approach with the ability to build strong business cases around energy savings and productivity gains.
- Ability to conduct technical surveys, benchmark operations, and write detailed performance reports.
- A valid Saudi driving license and readiness to travel frequently across industrial regions are necessary.
- Self-driven, independent working style with a strong commitment to safety and quality.
