Role overview
This position is for a Processing Operator in New Minas, Nova Scotia, with work tied to the Kentville, Nova Scotia manufacturing site. The role supports the production of Canada’s only Fried Cheetos Puffs and is part of a fast-moving, collaborative food manufacturing environment.
You will be responsible for running and watching production equipment so output stays steady and efficient. The job involves following production plans, making equipment adjustments when needed, and helping keep the processing line moving smoothly. Working safely at all times and using equipment according to company standards and procedures is a core expectation.
Product quality is a major part of the role. You will help ensure each batch meets requirements for taste, texture, and appearance while following food safety and sanitation rules carefully. Success in this position calls for attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a strong commitment to doing the job well.

Compensation
The pay rate for this role is $26.58 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with coworkers to meet production goals.
- Run machinery used in food production.
- Prepare and configure equipment for product changeovers.
- Maintain quality and food safety standards by following approved procedures and work methods.
- Work safely at all times and follow lockout/tagout practices.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to stand and maintain pace for 12-hour shifts.
- Previous experience in food manufacturing or food processing is preferred.
- Working knowledge of lockout/tagout procedures.
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable working as part of a team.
- Open-minded, adaptable, and able to perform well under pressure.
