Role Overview

The Payroll Coordinator acts as the primary contact for approximately 2,000 employees across Canada, handling comprehensive payroll management and administration within a complex, multi-jurisdictional environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle payroll processing accurately and punctually.
  • Handle all payroll case management activities effectively.
  • Perform payroll computations from gross to net pay and ensure payroll account balancing.
  • Investigate and resolve payroll-related issues in coordination with Talent, Legal, and Benefits teams.
  • Prepare and file necessary payroll deductions and remittances.
  • Carry out year-end payroll procedures thoroughly.

About the Team

This position is part of an eight-member payroll administration group responsible for delivering payroll and client services nationwide. The role supports all employees and business lines by providing accurate data handling and reporting.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum of three years experience in a sizable, multi-jurisdictional payroll setting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possession of, or progress toward, Canadian Payroll Association certification.
  • Outstanding organizational abilities with capacity to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French is advantageous due to interactions with national and global clients.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft payroll software considered a strong plus.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary ranges between $47,000 and $78,000 CAD, alongside eligibility for a discretionary bonus plan. Deloitte offers a competitive and equitable pay structure benchmarked across various industries and roles. Additional benefits include:
