Network Engineer

Role overview

This position is for a Network Engineer based in Germany and working remotely on a full-time basis. The role centers on enterprise networking solutions, customer-facing technical support, and engineering work across SD-WAN, SD-LAN, Wi‑Fi, and related technologies.

Core responsibilities

• Design and support networking solutions involving Cisco Meraki and Fortinet, including SD-WAN, SD-LAN, Wi‑Fi, and, where applicable, SASE services.
• Create high-level and low-level designs to support customer project wins.
• Build, validate, and test services across platform and service environments.
• Provide post-sales support to strengthen customer success outcomes.
• Handle technical consulting for SD-WAN customers, including platform setup ahead of rollout.
• Complete ECDC forms for complex customer solution requirements.
• Join remote technical SD-WAN rollout activities.
• Coordinate customer change requests with the partner team responsible for technical implementation.
• Contribute to platform ownership responsibilities and capacity management.
• Support test lab activities and assist with sales training sessions.
• Carry out general engineering tasks as needed.
• Work on ongoing process improvements.

Required capabilities

• Experience with routing, switching, MPLS, and VPN environments.
• Working knowledge of network operations and the ability to analyze LAN/WAN issues.
• Hands-on familiarity with network monitoring and ticketing platforms such as ServiceNow, Remedy, and SolarWinds.
• Understanding of SD-WAN, firewall, wireless, and load balancer technologies.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Fluency in German.
