Role overviewThe store in charge is accountable for the smooth day-to-day running of a garment store facility. This role focuses on keeping stock accurate, coordinating people and processes, and making sure the store remains tidy, secure, and efficient.Key dutiesTrack stock levels closely to avoid excess inventory or shortages, and carry out periodic physical counts and audit checks.Check incoming goods against purchase orders and delivery documents, and manage the movement of raw materials or finished items to the appropriate teams.Arrange materials so they are correctly stored, clearly labeled, and easy to locate when required.Supervise store staff, prepare schedules, support onboarding and training, and monitor performance.Maintain safety and security practices and ensure the store continues to meet required compliance standards.Keep the store clean, orderly, and in working condition, including basic upkeep of equipment and storage areas.Record all inward and outward stock movements in registers or inventory systems, whether manual or digital.Work with the purchasing team for procurement needs and coordinate with accounts for vendor bills and financial reconciliation.Experience and qualificationsApplicants are generally expected to have 2 to 5 years of experience in retail operations, supply chain work, or inventory handling. A bachelor’s degree in Business, ITI, Diploma, or a related discipline is preferred.Tools and working knowledgeThe role requires comfort with inventory management systems, ERP/SAP environments, and bookkeeping tools such as Tally.
