Data Science Cloud Application Engineer

Role Overview

Tata Consultancy Services is looking for a Data Science Cloud Application Engineer to contribute to the design, development, enhancement, and long-term support of software applications built with Python and contemporary cloud platforms.

What You’ll Do

• Build, improve, and maintain software applications across their lifecycle, with a focus on Python-based development.
• Create and support REST APIs, backend components, and application services using modern Python frameworks.
• Work across frontend, backend, and API layers to deliver complete end-to-end functionality.
• Develop cloud-native solutions that are designed to be scalable, dependable, and efficient.
• Integrate applications with enterprise systems, internal tools, APIs, databases, message queues, storage layers, compute services, and data pipelines.
• Apply modern architectural approaches such as microservices and event-driven design where appropriate.

Technical Requirements

• 6 to 10 years of hands-on experience in software application design, development, enhancement, and maintenance.
• Strong practical knowledge of Python programming and backend service development.
• Solid experience building REST APIs.
• Working experience with frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Deep understanding of cloud-native architecture and services across GCP, AWS, Azure, or the Salesforce ecosystem.
• Familiarity with core cloud capabilities including compute, storage, integration, networking, security, and managed services.
• Ability to deliver high-performance applications using modern frameworks and cloud technologies.

Eligibility

This position is open to candidates holding a B.Tech or B.E. degree in any specialization.
