About Leap
Leap is a rapidly expanding benefits platform and a trailblazer in employer specialty pharmacy. The company is changing how high-cost therapies are accessed and funded, helping patients receive needed treatment while giving employers a more equitable cost structure.
Specialty medications and infusion therapies account for close to 10% of total healthcare spending and are the fastest-rising expense area for employers. Leap addresses this through a model that removes concealed markups, broadens access to top-tier infusion providers, and adds transparency and fairness to therapy pricing and payment.
The company works with many Fortune 500 organizations and leading TPAs. Every patient supported by Leap drives immediate value through reduced costs, improved access, and stronger care outcomes.
About the Role
The Care Guide is a key member of the patient support journey, helping ensure treatment is coordinated, easy to understand, and centered on the patient. In this role, you will act as the main contact for patients, manage care logistics, explain medication and infusion processes, and work closely with patients, providers, and nursing agencies. This position suits a healthcare professional who brings empathy, organization, and comfort working in a fast-moving, patient-focused setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for patients and handle questions with speed, compassion, and clear communication.
- Provide education to patients and providers on home infusion workflows, including how medications should be stored, handled, and administered.
- Arrange and confirm treatment visits, coordinating with nursing agencies so care is delivered on time and accurately.
- Confirm that patients have received their medications and understand the treatment plan before infusion begins.
- Make sure clinical records are sent to providers after infusion and that billing details are routed correctly to the finance team.
- Partner with the Customer Success team to strengthen client relationships and support consistent service quality.
Qualifications
Applicants should have 3 to 5 years of experience in nursing or pharmacy, ideally with exposure to infusion therapy or specialty medications. An active clinical credential is required, such as Registered Nurse (RN), Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT), or Medical Assistant (MA). The role also calls for a background in patient coordination or case management, strong verbal and written communication, excellent organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks at once. Candidates must be comfortable working independently in a remote environment and available during Pacific Standard Time hours. A patient-first mindset is essential.
Preferred Experience
Extra value will be given to candidates who have worked in a healthcare startup or another high-paced care delivery environment. Fluency in Spanish, both spoken and written, is also preferred.
Additional Information
Leap is an equal opportunity employer and encourages applications from people of all backgrounds. The company aims to build a team that reflects a wide range of perspectives, experiences, and identities.
Compensation for this role is stated at $70K to $80K.
