Role overview

Volvo Group’s Accounting and Company Control team in Bangalore’s Record to Report function is hiring an Accountant. This role supports financial operations within a global organization focused on efficient, safe, and sustainable transport solutions, and offers the chance to work with advanced technologies and collaborative teams.

Education

• A Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Commerce is required.

Experience

• 3 to 5 years of experience in fixed asset accounting, reconciliations, month-end close activities, and financial reporting is expected.
• Hands-on use of Excel, Access, and PowerPoint is necessary.
• Prior exposure to GL, AP, AR, and FA modules, along with SAP, is preferred.

Key responsibilities

• Work closely with Volvo Group partners and support accounting operations in the assigned area.
• Maintain SAP master data for FI/CO processes.
• Handle fixed asset accounting activities such as investment management, Capex budgeting and initiation, capitalization, internal order creation, WBS element creation, settlement of order/WBS into AUC, retirements, transfers, forex gains or losses, inter- and intra-asset transfers, and asset scrapping or sale.
• Perform fixed asset reconciliations and prepare monthly reports.
• Maintain records of business transactions in the General Ledger.
• Prepare financial reports and support reporting requirements.
• Interact with clients regularly as part of day-to-day responsibilities.
• Support internal and external audit activities.
• Review interfaces and assess their effect on financial statements.
• Monitor and analyze transactions in line with IFRS and Volvo Group financial policies and procedures.

Work mode

This is an onsite role. Volvo Group’s general approach is that employees work from the office, with in-person collaboration being an important part of how the team operates.
