Sales Associate

Role overview

The Sales Associate will act as the face of the brand in store, helping drive sales through excellent service and a strong retail presence. The role also includes routine store operations, upkeep, and visual merchandising support as directed by the store manager or assistant store manager.

Customer service

• Welcome shoppers and guide them toward products that suit their needs.
• Help convert casual visitors into paying customers.
• Promote the company's Club Apparel Loyalty Program to encourage repeat purchases.
• Deliver service in line with the company’s selling approach: Greet, Understand, Explain, Sell, Thank.
• Stay informed about the group’s brands to support effective suggestive selling.
• Maintain a neat, professional appearance and grooming standards at all times.
• Be willing to work longer hours during sale periods when required.
• Keep product knowledge current and help reduce stock loss.

Merchandising and store operations

• Arrange stock neatly and in a way that attracts customers while following standard display guidelines.
• Follow visual merchandising instructions and keep clearance stock within prescribed norms.
• Track inward and outward inventory and maintain the related records.
• Operate the POS and billing counter accurately and efficiently.
• Count cash at the beginning and end of shifts and reconcile the till.
• Handle receipts, refunds, and change correctly.
• Accept and process payments through cash, cards, vouchers, and automatic debit methods.
• Remain alert to store security at all times and avoid negligence.
• Be flexible with shift timings and overtime based on business needs.
• Follow SOPs and loss prevention policies consistently.
• Keep sales figures confidential and do not share them with outside parties.
