Role Overview
The company is hiring a Research Analyst for the Wealth Management team. The position focuses on studying client portfolios, assessing investment outcomes, and creating practical insights for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients.
This role includes reviewing portfolios in depth, spotting improvement opportunities, preparing analysis-based reports, and assisting Wealth Advisors with recommendations across multiple asset classes. A solid grasp of markets, investments, portfolio analysis, and advanced Excel is important for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze client portfolios across mutual funds, equities, PMS, AIFs, bonds, and related investment products.
- Assess portfolio returns, asset mix, concentration exposure, and diversification opportunities.
- Spot portfolio gaps and suggest actions that fit the client’s goals and risk profile.
- Create detailed portfolio review documents and investment presentations for clients and Wealth Advisors.
- Monitor market updates, macroeconomic movements, and opportunities across different asset classes.
- Carry out investment research and compare products, strategies, and alternatives.
- Assist Wealth Advisors in portfolio construction, client reviews, and recommendation preparation.
- Build recurring MIS reports, portfolio dashboards, and performance summaries.
- Ensure accuracy, data quality, and confidentiality while working with client information.
- Work with internal teams to support a strong and seamless advisory experience.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics, or a closely related discipline. Certifications such as CFA, CFP, or NISM will be considered an advantage.
The role is best suited for professionals with 3 to 10 years of experience in wealth management, investment advisory, portfolio analytics, research, or financial planning. Experience with wealth management firms, private banks, investment advisory firms, or other financial services companies is preferred.
Skills Required
The ideal candidate should understand financial markets and investment products well, be comfortable working with large datasets, and be able to interpret portfolio performance clearly. Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, advanced Excel usage, attention to detail, and report-writing skills are essential.
