Role overview
Prima Taste is seeking a Quality Control Technician to support food safety, hygiene, and product quality efforts within a production environment in Singapore. This full-time onsite role focuses on maintaining compliance with statutory requirements and company standards while helping the factory uphold strong food safety systems.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor and help enforce food safety and hygiene practices so that they meet legal requirements and internal policies.
- Develop, update, and assess SOPs, work instructions, and operational standards related to food quality and safety in line with SFA, Halal, HACCP/EU, and FSSC expectations.
- Evaluate how effective corrective and preventive actions are when factory non-conformances occur.
- Check that material, process, and product specifications are satisfied before production begins.
- Plan and deliver GMP, food safety, and CCP/OPRP training for factory employees.
- Support and carry out continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen food safety and product quality in the plant.
- Handle additional tasks as assigned by the company from time to time.
Requirements
- Diploma or Nitec in Food Science.
- Willing and able to work full time in a production setting.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Good analytical skills and a proactive attitude.
