These standards support key business functions such as authentication, track and trace, counterfeit prevention, inventory control, and demand forecasting through solutions involving identification and data exchange.

Position Overview and Responsibilities

As an Operations Intern at GS1India, you will be engaged in regular store visits across multiple locations, where your role involves scanning product barcodes utilizing the Smart Consumer App on mobile platforms (iOS and Android). You will document details of your visits diligently using Microsoft Excel, compile monthly reports, and perform follow-up actions as needed. You will receive necessary training and support to identify potential misuse by manufacturers or brand owners during barcode scans and provide guidance towards adhering to proper procedures.

Requirements

• Availability for a full-time, in-office internship spanning 3 months, starting between September 3 and October 8, 2026.
• Capability and willingness to conduct frequent store visits and handle data entry tasks accurately.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and general computer literacy.
• Strong communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
• Interest in operations and supply chain management.

Additional Information and Perks

• The internship is based in Chennai, with possible locations including Madurai, Mumbai, and Tiruchirappalli.
• Interns will receive a monthly stipend ranging from INR 15,000 to INR 16,000.
• The workweek comprises 5 days.
• Certifications and letters of recommendation will be provided upon successful completion.
