The opportunity
Hind Management is hiring a Night Auditor for a fixed-term position at Novotel Christchurch Airport in Christchurch, Canterbury, New Zealand. The role is centered on delivering outstanding overnight guest service and keeping hotel operations running smoothly when senior leaders are off duty.
Key responsibilities
- Report to the Night Manager and support the overnight leadership of the hotel.
- Take charge of the property during your shift, especially when senior managers are unavailable.
- Respond to guest questions and maintain a welcoming, professional approach at all times.
- Handle guest complaints promptly and appropriately.
- Deal with urgent matters such as security incidents, maintenance issues, fire responses, or evacuation procedures.
- Carry out audit duties, including preparing financial reports, checking discrepancies, and completing end-of-night tasks.
- Perform routine security rounds and inspect hotel areas for quality and occupancy/presence.
- Support front desk operations during overnight check-in and check-out periods.
What we are looking for
- You must be able to work overnight shifts.
- A Duty Manager licence is preferred.
- You should be confident, self-driven, and focused on delivering excellent guest service.
- Professional personal grooming and a strong work ethic are essential.
- Previous front office experience at a supervisory level is required.
- High attention to detail is important for this position.
- You need to be flexible, adaptable, and comfortable working as part of a team.
- You should be able to prioritise tasks and stay effective under pressure.
- You must have the legal right to work in New Zealand.
