American Eagle is now one of India’s preferred premium denim brands, Reebok has broadened its reach under the company’s management since 2022, and Simon Carter continues to strengthen its position in premium menswear.Role OverviewThis position is responsible for financial reporting, ledger and trial balance review, month-end and year-end closing, audit support, compliance tracking, and process improvement across finance operations.Roles and ResponsibilitiesDeliver financial analysis and insights that support business decisions and long-term planning.Prepare and examine financial statements such as the balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and cash flow statement.Make sure reporting is accurate, complete, and delivered on time in line with accounting standards and regulatory expectations.Compile quarterly secretarial schedules for inclusion in the board deck.Handle month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entry checks, account reconciliations, and final financial statement preparation.Review results in accordance with SEBI regulations and applicable accounting standards.Examine trial balance and general ledger balances.Ensure regular MIS reporting is circulated to support management decisions.Manage reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, including bank, inventory, and accrual accounts.Study account balances and movements to identify patterns, variances, and improvement opportunities.Maintain strong internal controls to protect assets, preserve data integrity, and reduce risk.Ensure adherence to accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.Strengthen and monitor controls so financial information and reporting remain accurate and reliable.Coordinate with process owners to gather supporting documents for auditors.Drive timely completion of limited review, statutory audit, and tax audit activities.Track and ensure statutory compliance across units, including timely payment of dues such as TDS, TCS, and PF.Work with cross-functional teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve profitability.Understand new business processes and provide technical guidance for recording related financial transactions.Assess and implement accounting process changes arising from updates in Ind AS, the Companies Act, 2013, direct tax, and indirect tax.Serve as the finance interface with the corporate indirect tax team, corporate direct tax team, head office treasury team, and corporate HR team.RequirementsChartered Accountant qualification is mandatory.4 to 8 years of relevant experience in financial reporting, accounting, and controllership roles.Hands-on experience with month-end close, audits, and preparation of financial statements.Working knowledge of Ind AS, Companies Act, 2013, and direct and indirect tax compliance.Strong background in financial reporting and analysis.Experience in preparing and reviewing balance sheet, profit and loss, and cash flow statements.Ability to review general ledger and analyze trial balance data.Additional InformationEmployment type: full time.
