Key responsibilities

  • Own and coordinate QMS activities across the manufacturing floor and related functions.
  • Plan, manage, and close customer audits, supplier audits, and internal audits.
  • Ensure day-to-day adherence to IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and EMS quality procedures.
  • Create, update, and improve SOPs, work instructions, quality manuals, process documents, and related records.
  • Lead corrective action efforts, root-cause analysis, and ongoing improvement initiatives.
  • Track compliance around traceability, ESD controls, FIFO practices, calibration, and documentation control.
  • Work closely with production, stores, engineering, procurement, and customer quality teams.
  • Support launch of new processes and meet automotive customer-specific requirements.
  • Maintain audit readiness and ensure findings are addressed within committed timelines.
  • Train cross-functional teams on QMS practices and quality expectations.

Required profile

  • At least 5 years of relevant QMS experience in EMS or electronics manufacturing.
  • Proven ability to manage automotive and customer audits independently.
  • Strong understanding of EMS manufacturing processes and quality management systems.
  • Practical knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, IPC standards, document control, CAPA, and process auditing.
  • Experience preparing and maintaining procedures, manuals, and quality records.
  • Strong analytical ability along with solid documentation and communication skills.

Preferred qualifications

  • Certification as an internal auditor is preferred.
  • Training or certification in QMS, IATF, or ISO 9001 is an added advantage.
  • Exposure to automotive OEM or Tier-1 customers will be beneficial.
