Finance Analyst - General Accounting

About the RoleABB is seeking a Finance Analyst in General Accounting to support its Finance business function in Bengaluru East. In this position, you will contribute to record-to-report activities, help maintain strong financial controls, and support accurate reporting aligned with accounting standards. The role is based on an onsite work model and reports to the Accounting & Reporting Manager - General Accounting.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out day-to-day general accounting tasks, including classifying and recording financial transactions using standard accounting methods.Review financial reporting data for quality and track unusual fluctuations.Support Internal control over Financial Reporting (ICoFR) requirements for General Accounting by working on applicable templates, taking part in control testing, and preparing supporting documentation.Assist with collecting data, entering information, and performing basic financial analysis to help ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial statements.RequirementsFoundational knowledge of Record to Report (R2R), General Ledger concepts, and core accounting processes gained through academics or internships.This opening is intended for fresh graduates or candidates at the entry level.Exposure to SAP is preferred, or at least a strong interest in learning ERP tools.Comfort using MS Excel and MS Office, along with a willingness to build more advanced capability.Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline.Strong written and spoken communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.About ABB FinanceABB Finance works as a dependable partner to the business, delivering insight that supports long-term sustainable results while maintaining high standards of performance and control.Additional InformationABB encourages applications in English.
