Role overview

The Ecommerce Manager will drive conversion improvement and user experience across Shopify websites and Amazon channels. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, this role is responsible for building smooth online shopping journeys that increase revenue from the first visit through to delivery.

You will oversee website performance, platform administration, merchandising, and order fulfillment while supporting both B2C and B2B customer journeys. The role blends strategic planning, technical understanding, and creative problem-solving to help accelerate business growth.

Conversion rate optimization and UX

  • Take ownership of website conversion performance and keep testing ways to improve the customer journey.
  • Build shopping experiences that feel simple, intuitive, and friction-free.
  • Improve product pages, collection pages, checkout steps, and the mobile experience.
  • Carry out user research, review session recordings, and pinpoint issues that reduce conversions.
  • Run A/B tests on page layouts, calls to action, navigation, and messaging.
  • Track analytics and conversion data to find new opportunities for improvement.

Platform management and technical oversight

  • Manage the Shopify platform, including apps, integrations, and technical changes.
  • Work with developers on website updates, new features, and bug resolution.
  • Make sure site speed, uptime, and overall performance stay at the required level.
  • Oversee technical setup and optimization for the Amazon sales channel.
  • Maintain accurate data across platforms and connected systems.

Site content and merchandising

  • Improve the homepage, collection pages, and navigation so products are easier to find and more likely to convert.
  • Lead merchandising activity such as cross-sells, bundling, and promotional updates.
  • Coordinate on-site messaging with the Brand & Creative team and the Content & Community team.
  • Test product recommendations and personalization features to improve performance.

Team leadership and coordination

  • Lead and support the Ecommerce & UX team members, including the Ecommerce Operations Coordinator and Amazon Specialist.
  • Set clear priorities across platform work, operations, and the Amazon channel.
  • Partner with Operations and Customer Experience teams on fulfillment, inventory, shipping, and post-purchase service.
  • Present ecommerce performance, insights, and roadmap updates to the Head of Marketing.
  • Encourage a team culture focused on data-led optimization and customer-first thinking.

Qualifications and experience

Ideal candidates will bring 6–8+ years of experience in ecommerce management, conversion optimization, or digital product management, with DTC experience considered an advantage.

A strong history of improving conversion rates and lifting ecommerce revenue is important. You should be comfortable working with Shopify or a similar ecommerce platform, and have a solid grasp of ecommerce technology stacks.

Experience with UX principles, user research, and CRO methods is required, along with familiarity with A/B testing tools such as VWO, Optimizely, or Convert and analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Hotjar, or Mouseflow. Knowledge of Amazon seller or vendor operations is preferred. Previous experience managing ecommerce teams and cross-functional initiatives is also valuable.

Skills and abilities

  • Strong customer-focused thinking and the ability to view the site from the shopper’s perspective.
  • Comfort with data analysis, experimentation, and statistical significance.
  • Ability to balance long-term strategy with practical day-to-day improvements.
  • Technical confidence when working with developers and troubleshooting platform issues.
  • Clear leadership and communication skills.
  • Sharp attention to detail, especially around UX and site quality.
  • Strong collaboration skills across internal teams and outside partners.
  • A proactive, action-oriented approach to execution.
  • Commercial understanding of how UX affects revenue, average order value, and lifetime value.
