Role Summary
Mott MacDonald is seeking a motivated consulting Data Analyst to join its Digital Consulting team in Canada. The role is based in one of the Canadian office locations, including Vancouver, Calgary, or Toronto, and involves supporting multidisciplinary project teams working in the built environment.
The team includes BIM and GIS specialists, data professionals, software developers, and digital advisory consultants. In this position, you will contribute to data-driven project delivery by translating business needs into practical data strategies and analytical solutions.
What You Will Do
- Work with clients and project teams to understand requirements and shape suitable data solutions.
- Support delivery by gathering and transforming data through ETL workflows.
- Build business intelligence reports using Microsoft tools and applications.
- Identify opportunities to use data analysis and visualization to improve project outcomes.
- Collect, organize, move, and manage data across different systems.
- Clean, combine, abstract, and summarize datasets for analysis.
- Link multiple data sources and present findings in a clear format for different audiences.
- Help define a data strategy from business need through to implementation and delivery.
- Engage with stakeholders, gather detailed requirements, and create a workable project plan around the outputs.
Candidate Profile
The preferred candidate has 1 to 2 years of experience and a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field. Experience using Microsoft Power Platform on data-related work is preferred.
You should bring strong communication ability, customer-facing experience, creative thinking, and the ability to manage your own time effectively while meeting team goals. The role also calls for someone who is proactive about improving systems and working methods.

Compensation and Benefits
The expected annual salary range for this role is $63,500 to $77,500. Final pay will depend on qualifications, overall experience, and the responsibilities of the position.
Employees participate in the company’s success through personal and group performance bonuses, reflecting the organization’s employee-owned model.
Work Arrangement
This is a permanent full-time position. The role follows a hybrid working pattern with an in-office culture and typically requires a minimum of three days per week in the office, while still allowing flexibility to balance client, team, and personal commitments.
