Role overview

This position sits within the Advisory line of service in PwC India’s Microsoft specialism. The role is part of a team that helps clients modernize their technology environment across front-office, back-office, and mid-office processes by using Microsoft Dynamics and related Microsoft platforms. The work supports a consulting approach that combines business strategy with technology delivery, including solutions built around Dynamics 365, Azure, Power Platform, and Power BI.

Core technical expectations

The role calls for strong hands-on experience with Microsoft-based development, especially .NET Core and the latest .NET Framework. The candidate should be comfortable building and maintaining backend services, working with database operations, and developing front-end functionality using AngularJS and TypeScript.

Development work

• Build, enhance, and support backend services with a focus on validation, logging, authentication, and authorization.
• Work on full stack development tasks involving both server-side and client-side components.
• Use tools such as Swagger/OpenAPI and Postman during API development and testing.
• Apply microservices concepts, EF Core, LINQ, and RDBMS optimization techniques in day-to-day development.
• Create maintainable code using design patterns and SOLID principles.
• Contribute to AngularJS-based front-end development and browser-side functionality.
• Support Agile delivery practices and collaborate through Azure DevOps boards, sprint planning, queries, and pipelines.

Required knowledge and experience

• Strong programming ability in C#.
• Practical experience with unit testing frameworks such as XUnit, NUnit, or MSTest.
• Working knowledge of RESTful APIs and backend service design.
• Good understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, DOM handling, and front-end architecture.
• Experience with JavaScript build tools such as Gulp or Grunt is useful.
• Familiarity with UI development, debugging in browsers, and performance testing.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues effectively and manage tasks within project timelines.
