About the role
As an Associate in Category & Program Marketing, you will drive marketing initiatives end to end for important categories. Your work will cover everything from planning brand introductions and launch programs to executing go-to-market campaigns and tracking ongoing performance. In this role, you will connect product, growth, creative, and brand teams, helping each initiative move with clarity, structure, and ownership.
Program management
- Take charge of the complete category marketing calendar, covering brand launches, seasonal campaigns, and topical promotions from brief stage through final execution.
- Create and update project trackers and run weekly cross-functional check-ins with the right stakeholders.
- Set up standard operating processes for cross-team initiatives so responsibilities are clearly defined across creative, technology, brand, and growth groups.
- Conduct post-launch reviews after major campaigns and feed the learnings into future planning.
Go-to-market planning and brand launches
- Lead launch planning for new brands and category additions, including defining objectives, timelines, channel mix, and success measures.
- Coordinate pre-launch, launch, and post-launch activities across internal teams and external brand partners so every deliverable is completed on time and aligned to the brief.
- Prepare GTM briefs and launch playbooks that can be reused and scaled across the category portfolio.
- Oversee brand onboarding on the platform, including exclusive launches, hero campaign moments, and co-marketing commitments.
Category growth strategy
- Plan and run integrated marketing campaigns that support category goals for GMV, average order value, and conversion.
- Spot growth opportunities using customer insights, competitor benchmarking, and market trend review.
- Own traffic delivery across organic and paid channels, while resolving merchandising, launch, and day-to-day operational issues as needed.
- Work with the Analytics team to investigate category session trends, identify root causes, and turn findings into practical recommendations.
Digital marketing and on-app experience
- Partner with performance marketing teams to execute category-focused paid campaigns on Google, Meta, and Instagram.
- Collaborate with the growth team on external platform campaigns and with the central storefront team to ensure on-app merchandising supports campaign and brand priorities.
- Plan and deliver monthly topical activations with the activations team.
- Build and execute social media marketing plans alongside the social team.
- Identify, brief, and manage influencer and creator partnerships that align with category priorities, taking ownership from start to finish.
Stakeholder management
- Serve as the main contact for category, creative, monetization, central store, and external brand partner teams across campaign and launch work.
- Keep leadership informed with timely updates on progress, performance, and risks.
- Build effective working relationships with internal teams and external vendors to support smooth, high-quality execution.
Data, reporting, and customer engagement
- Use Excel and BI tools to track campaign performance, evaluate ROI, and prepare weekly and monthly category reports.
- Design retention campaigns and personalized customer journeys based on segmentation.
- Convert performance data into clear insights that help shape GTM strategy and future planning.
Qualifications and experience
- A bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a similar field is required; an MBA is preferred.
- 2 to 4 years of experience in e-commerce, retail, or integrated marketing is needed.
- Strong command of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP, along with familiarity with BI dashboards.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Exposure to Google Trends, CRM tools, or marketing automation platforms is a plus.
