Role overview

The company is hiring an Operations Associate to join its strategy and operations team. This position sits at the core of the zone’s day-to-day execution and is responsible for ensuring that vendors, riders, and agents are prepared to perform effectively every day.

The role involves a significant volume of operational work, data validation, and system follow-ups that help keep operations running without disruption. It is a fast-moving position that does not follow a standard 9-to-5 schedule and may require changing hours and shift patterns.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for requests within the assigned zone and direct issues to the appropriate owners when necessary.
• Keep an eye on dashboards and communication channels to spot, rank, and address operational issues promptly.
• Help maintain the readiness and performance of riders, vendors, and agents through onboarding, training, scheduling, and regular checks.
• Oversee order-related exceptions and escalations, ensuring they are resolved quickly and communicated clearly to relevant stakeholders.
• Respond to day-to-day operational questions and issues, escalating sensitive or high-priority matters to the Assistant Zonal Manager.
• Coordinate operational tools, resources, and assets alongside zonal leadership.
• Partner with the Assistant Zonal Manager to identify improvement opportunities and support the rollout of those improvements.

Candidate profile

The ideal applicant should have graduated with either a first-class degree or a 2:1 from a respected university. They should also be ambitious, competitive, and ready to commit to the long hours often required in a high-growth startup environment.

Strong problem-solving ability is important, along with the ability to think quickly, stay organized, manage multiple tasks at the same time, and pay close attention to detail. The role also requires clear and confident communication with teammates, agents, riders, and vendors.

A positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and the resilience to keep pushing through challenges are all essential.
