About the Role
Join an energy technology organization with operations in more than 120 countries and a broad portfolio covering rotating equipment, process flow solutions, transmission technology, and lifecycle services. The mechanical engineering team works with advanced tools and technologies to build gas and steam turbines, compressors, and expanders.
In this position, you will support cabinet manufacturing as an assembly technician, helping build control panels and related electrical assemblies to required quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Build cabinet structures and fit parts such as racks, circuit breakers, network switches, power supplies, and terminal blocks.
- Carry out wiring, cable routing, crimping, and terminations according to electrical drawings.
- Review and work from electrical schematics, layout drawings, and bills of materials.
- Mark wires, terminals, and components correctly based on the drawings.
- Perform basic checks such as loop continuity and insulation testing.
- Examine assembled units to confirm they meet quality, specification, and compliance requirements.
- Identify wiring or assembly issues and correct defects where needed.
- Check material availability against the bill of materials and report missing or damaged items during assembly.
- Use hand and power tools safely and follow all required safety procedures.
- Work with test engineers during Pre-FAT and FAT activities.
- Follow quality and HSE standards at all times.
Requirements
- High school diploma or an equivalent qualification.
- 1 to 2 years of experience in assembly work.
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret drawings and design documents.
- Awareness of relevant safety standards and willingness to use protective equipment such as eye shields and gloves.
- Good English communication skills.
