Assistant Manager - Projects

Role overview

This position is with Adani Group for a full-time, on-site role based in Mundra, Gujarat. The role focuses on end-to-end execution support for wind farm projects, with special emphasis on electrical component assembly, commissioning, documentation, coordination, reporting, and quality compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Review and manage detailed project plans, including schedules, manpower needs, and key milestones.
• Work closely with customers, engineering, planning, quality, and contractor teams to keep site execution running smoothly.
• Follow day-to-day progress to ensure contractual performance targets are achieved.
• Check tools and equipment provided to the customer and confirm that calibration remains current.
• Lead on-site electrical component assembly and commissioning work, coordinating teams to maintain speed, quality, and safe execution at wind farm locations.
• Handle budget tracking, expense monitoring, resource planning, and procurement coordination.
• Spot execution risks early and take action to reduce or avoid project delays or issues.
• Keep accurate records and prepare regular project status and progress reports.
• Ensure materials and services are approved by the customer, along with the documentation needed to meet contract milestones.
• Confirm that all documents required for erection and commissioning of Wind Turbine Generators are available and shared with the customer.
• Draft Electrical Standard Operating Procedures for WTG project execution.
• Prepare MIS reports for management review.
• Train customer representatives and their contractors on electrical component assembly.
• Make sure all project documentation is complete, organized, and safely retained.
• Resolve site issues related to electrical component assembly and commissioning within the required timelines.
• Ensure all work in scope follows ANIL SOPs and quality standards.
• Travel to project sites whenever needed to support execution activities.

Qualifications and experience

The role requires a graduate degree in Electrical Engineering and 7 to 10 years of experience in wind farm project execution.
