Role Overview
As a Senior Product Manager, you will own a product domain end to end, guiding strategy, delivery, adoption, and measurable outcomes. The role calls for strong product judgment, deep cross-functional influence, and a consistent focus on execution quality. You will also be expected to integrate AI into product thinking, team workflows, and feature development while meeting Cvent’s responsible AI expectations.
What You Will Do
- Own the roadmap for your product area and align it to measurable OKRs while keeping scope tightly controlled.
- Lead structured discovery to validate problems and solutions with leadership, customers, and cross-functional partners before committing to build.
- Manage go-to-market readiness from early planning through launch, adoption, and post-launch performance review.
- Use AI as a core lens in product management and help establish AI-native working methods within the team.
- Lead the creation of AI-powered features end to end, including evaluation methods and outcome measurement.
- Improve your own PM workflow using AI tools and share productivity learnings with the wider organization.
- Participate in AI forums and contribute to team-level AI practices, sessions, and case studies.
- Ensure all AI features follow Cvent’s responsible AI standards.
- Maintain strong execution discipline through sprint hygiene, backlog health, SLI/SLO tracking, and reduction of production bug leakage.
- Set strategy for achieving OKRs, NPS, and key product metrics, and align leadership on business priorities.
- Make prioritization decisions based on data using tools such as Mixpanel, ProductBoard, Sigma, or similar platforms.
- Write precise product requirements and user stories with clear acceptance criteria before sprint start.
- Serve as the primary decision owner for your domain and manage escalation paths proactively.
- Coordinate alignment across Sales, Customer Success, Engineering, UX, and Leadership, including formal feedback cycles.
- Communicate roadmap progress, risks, and changes clearly so stakeholders are always informed.
- Influence teams without direct authority by building trust, clarity, and evidence-based alignment.
- Mentor junior product managers through regular 1:1s, growth plans, and goal alignment.
- Build AI capability within the team by assessing current skill levels, shaping learning plans, and tracking adoption.
- Create stretch opportunities for high performers and encourage adoption of Cvent’s processes and tools.
- Support continuous improvement across the product management organization.
What We’re Looking For
- 12 to 15 years of overall experience, including at least 7 years in product management for technology products.
- Hands-on experience building or launching AI-powered products, along with practical use of AI tools.
- Working knowledge of analytics and adoption platforms such as Mixpanel, Gainsight PX, Pendo, or similar tools.
- Strong product thinking with the ability to define strategy, explain rationale, and turn ambiguity into a clear roadmap.
- Good understanding of software development, integrations, and system design, with the ability to build technical credibility.
- Proven experience mentoring product managers and improving team capability beyond individual delivery.
- Excellent communication and influence skills, with comfort working across senior leadership, engineering, and customers.
- Analytical mindset, comfort with data, and enthusiasm for solving complex problems in a fast-moving SaaS setting.
