Role Overview

Egis is looking for a careful and team-focused Associate - Dry Utilities to join its Infrastructure Team in Riyadh. The role involves supporting the technical delivery of complex dry utilities projects and helping ensure that work is completed to a high standard, in line with both local and international requirements. This is an opportunity to deepen expertise in utilities design while contributing to a collaborative and performance-driven team.

Responsibilities

• Support the team with technical inputs and project management help to ensure successful delivery of multidisciplinary dry utilities assignments.
• Contribute to tendering efforts by providing technical insight that supports commercial planning and resource decisions.
• Draft and review technical specifications, drawings, and project documentation related to dry utilities infrastructure.
• Carry out technical and quality checks on deliverables and resolve issues that could affect output quality.
• Assist with project audits and keep records organized and transparent across the project lifecycle.
• Create and assess ETAP models for electrical network design and master planning.
• Perform Dialux-based street lighting calculations and develop lighting solutions that match project needs.
• Support the design of master plan MV and LV networks for efficient and compliant infrastructure layouts.
• Work with internal teams and external stakeholders to keep projects on time and within budget.
• Guide junior colleagues on technical topics and established best practices.
• Make sure all designs align with Saudi electrical codes, local rules, and relevant international standards.
• Assist with BIM coordination and clash detection to maintain an integrated, clash-free model.
• Adopt new tools and innovative methods in dry utilities design.
• Handle several priorities at once while staying highly organized and detail-focused.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field is required, and a postgraduate qualification is preferred.
• At least 15 years of professional experience in dry utilities infrastructure design and project delivery is required.
• Strong hands-on experience with ETAP modeling for electrical network analysis and design.
• Proficiency in Dialux for street lighting calculations and lighting design.
• Substantial experience designing master plan MV and LV networks.
• Good understanding of street lighting design principles and applicable standards.
• Ability to use AutoCAD and BIM modeling tools effectively.
• Experience preparing technical reports and project documentation.
• Ability to perform technical and quality reviews for infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with audit procedures and quality assurance practices.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Clear communication and presentation abilities for explaining complex technical information.
• Proven ability to work well in cross-functional teams.
• Strong planning and organizational skills to manage multiple priorities.
• Knowledge of Saudi Arabia electrical codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Comfort using Microsoft Office and project management software.
• Commitment to ongoing learning and adoption of new infrastructure design technologies.
• High attention to detail and a strong focus on delivering accurate, quality work.
