Student Engagement Intern

About the role

This internship is with DoScience, part of Bookmark Projects Trust and Bookmark Trust and Library Solutions, social enterprises focused on experiential learning. The work revolves around creating informal learning experiences through science-based learning spaces and storytelling tools. DoScience operates as a practical science playground with around 60 hands-on models covering physics topics such as mechanics, sound, and light, along with mathematics. The organization has also built Story Box, an innovative storytelling platform designed for schools and public spaces.

What you will do

• Interact with and coordinate student groups in an engaging and structured way.
• Demonstrate science learning models, with emphasis on introducing basic physics concepts through exploration.
• Support and manage VR astronomy sessions and help students navigate the immersive experience.

Who can apply

This opportunity is open only to candidates who can take up a part-time internship, begin between 27 June 2026 and 1 August 2026, stay for 3 months, and are based in Hyderabad. Applicants should also have relevant interests and skills.

Additional requirements

• Preference will be given to students pursuing science or engineering.
• You must be available to work from the office on specific days of the month.

Compensation and schedule

The stipend is INR 15,000 per month for a full-time arrangement. For part-time participation, compensation is calculated proportionately, with an example rate of INR 600 per session of around 4 hours. The organization is open to interns who can attend only a few days each week. Two engagement formats are mentioned: one requiring regular office presence over a 3–6 month period, and another involving limited in-office days with prorated pay. There is also a possibility of converting one internship into a full-time role based on performance. The learners you will work with are usually school students from Grades 3 to 10.
