Role overview

The Webmaster & Digital Media Developer will be responsible for shaping and maintaining SMA’s web presence across its website network. The role focuses on keeping sites reliable, easy to use, visually strong, and aligned with current UI/UX standards. It also includes hands-on technical support for the marketing function. The work combines independent ownership of projects with close teamwork.

Key responsibilities

• Assess the organization’s website needs and keep those requirements current.
• Design, develop, test, and support websites that are polished, practical, and intuitive.
• Work with the Content and Media Manager on visual concepts, graphic elements, and campaign themes.
• Liaise with designers, content contributors, and leadership or business stakeholders.
• Track website results and review performance metrics.
• Develop a website style guide to ensure consistent design across pages.
• Check website compatibility across multiple devices, browsers, and operating systems.
• Revise website content in line with SEO best practices.
• Administer and set up virtual and cloud-based servers.
• Connect marketing channels such as social media, SEO, content marketing, email, print, and digital efforts.
• Offer technical assistance to the marketing team.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Take on additional duties as required.

Experience and qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline is required. Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience with web development languages, including HTML/CSS and C#. Working knowledge of SQL and PHP is preferred. Strong hands-on experience with WordPress, WooCommerce, Elementor, ASP.Net, and Shopify is expected. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook is also required.

Additional information

This is a full-time onsite role based in Somerset, New South Wales, Australia. The position involves about 10% national travel on an as-needed basis. Applicants should expect a response within 2 to 3 business days.
