Process Engineer

About the role

Flex is seeking a Process Engineer in Cork, Ireland to support teams that design and manufacture advanced products for leading global brands. The position sits within Manufacturing Engineering and focuses on launching new production processes, backing new product introduction, and addressing product and process challenges as they arise.

What you will do

• Build a strong understanding of manufacturing methods, technologies, techniques, and end-to-end process flow.
• Develop, implement, and assess process and design concepts with manufacturability in mind.
• Work independently or alongside other engineering partners to identify the root causes of manufacturing failures.
• Take an active role in daily production support and resolve operational issues quickly and effectively.
• Prepare and keep up to date all required process records, such as visual aids, manufacturing instructions, and process specifications.
• Contribute to cycle-time reduction and broader process improvement initiatives.
• Assess and choose suitable engineered materials.
• Help strengthen internal manufacturing capability and improve yield through ongoing technique development.
• Work closely with production teams during new process rollouts and product transfer activities.
• Support training development and deliver training to production staff during technology transfer.
• Drive cost reduction and cost improvement programs.

What the employer is looking for

• A bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• At least 2 years of engineering experience.
• Strong organization skills and a results-focused approach for both individual and team goals.
• Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
• Clear thinking, sound judgment, and strong interpersonal skills.
• Comfort using standard office tools such as phone systems, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Availability to work across all shift patterns.
• Legal authorization to work in Ireland (EU).
