Role overview
Sigma Wireless Communications is hiring a Logistics Assistant for its site at McKee Avenue, Finglas, Dublin 11, in Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.
What you will do
- Handle incoming and outgoing vehicles by loading and unloading goods safely.
- Take delivery of inbound items, match them against purchase orders, and verify that the received stock is correct.
- Carry out quality checks on deliveries to identify visible defects or any signs of potential damage.
- Update stock records in the system and store received items in the correct locations.
- Pick products accurately and efficiently for orders.
- Check item locations and stock quantities through the stock control system.
- Make sure orders are labelled correctly with the proper references and that the relevant customers are informed once work is completed.
- Pack and dispatch orders accurately and efficiently, including the right shipping labels.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organised, and tidy at all times.
- Follow health and safety procedures and company policies.
- Track all waste electrical and electronic equipment generated on site and upload monthly quantities to the WEEE portal.
- Be prepared to work overtime when required.
- Complete monthly cycle counts and the annual stock count.
- Ensure all paperwork is completed properly and in line with good documentation practices.
- Carry out any other ad hoc duties as needed.
Required experience and competencies
- A valid counterbalance forklift licence is essential.
- Prior warehouse experience of at least 2 years is required.
- Working knowledge of MRP systems is beneficial.
- Manual handling training is an added advantage, though not mandatory.
- Strong fluency in English is required.
- The candidate must be able to pass Garda security checks.

Additional information
This is a full-time, onsite role. Overtime may be requested as part of the job. The role also involves regular compliance and stock-control responsibilities, including documentation, cycle counts, yearly inventory checks, and WEEE reporting.
