Lead Solution Architect

Role overview

Salt is hiring a seasoned Lead Solution Architect to support a major organisation in Riyadh on an initial 12-month contract. This is an on-site assignment, and the selected candidate should be able to begin as soon as possible.

The role involves providing enterprise-level solution architecture direction across a wide range of technology areas, including ERP, digital platforms, integration, data, and operational systems.

Responsibilities

• Own solution architecture leadership from concept through delivery across significant technology programmes.
• Set, communicate, and uphold architecture principles, standards, and recommended practices.
• Serve as the primary authority for high-level solution designs and critical architecture decisions.
• Guide and support Solution Architects and Domain Architects in their work.
• Manage the Architecture Review Board and Design Authority activities.
• Make sure proposed solutions are secure, scalable, well integrated, and fit for operational use.
• Keep architecture records up to date and encourage reuse of existing capabilities.
• Partner closely with business teams, PMO, security, operations, QA, and external technology suppliers.

Experience and requirements

• At least 15 years of IT experience, with a strong track record in senior solution architecture or enterprise architecture leadership.
• Proven ability to lead architecture in large, complex organisations.
• Broad technical exposure covering ERP, Oracle Fusion, digital platforms, integration, and data.
• Solid knowledge of architecture governance approaches, including TOGAF.
• Experience managing senior architects and influencing executive-level stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional architecture certifications are considered an advantage.

Additional information

This is a 12-month contract position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The working model is fully on-site. Candidates should already be based in Riyadh or be able to relocate and mobilise quickly.
