Role overview
This position focuses on supporting database administration and project completion activities with a strong emphasis on accuracy, safety, and quality. The role involves handling drawing records, completion documentation, and database updates while working closely with site and project teams.
Key responsibilities
- Help strengthen work safety practices and maintain high standards of output quality.
- Carry accuracy as a key responsibility in daily database administration tasks.
- Use Microsoft Excel and Word for documentation and data handling.
- Understand the project completion workflow and be familiar with ship systems.
- Review drawings, punch lists, and clearance notes, then enter the information into the database.
- Check project documents carefully against sources such as SLDs, P&IDs, D&IDs, and similar records.
- Maintain accurate records for all drawings, punch lists, and clearance notes.
- Carry out basic calculations involving lengths, angles, scale factors, and unit conversions.
- Annotate drawings to define system and subsystem boundaries.
- Work with the site team to track progress and ensure everyone is using the latest drawing revisions.
- Support the Commissioning Manager and Project Manager with daily, weekly, and monthly reporting.
- Take on any other duties assigned by the reporting line.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of commissioning experience in the oil and gas or wind farm sector.
- Hands-on exposure to database setup work.
- Working knowledge of PIMS, FIC, Sispen, Certificate, and other project completion management tools, along with MS Excel and Word.
- Basic understanding of the project completion process and ship systems.
- Familiarity with permit-to-work systems and lock-out tag-out procedures.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and planning skills.
- Understanding of project specifications, technical requirements, and HSE standards.
- Comfortable using MS Office applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with completion management databases such as PIMS-CMS, WinPCS, ProCoSys, or ICAPS.
Work location and schedule
The role is based at Tuas Yard, Pioneer Sector 1, Singapore 628437. Islandwide transport is provided.
Working hours are Monday to Thursday from 8:00am to 5:15pm and Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm.
