Business Development Associate

Role Overview

Flix is seeking a proactive Business Development Associate to help grow its partner network, strengthen long-term relationships with bus operators, and support day-to-day business development activities. This role focuses on expanding the company’s presence in the US West region while contributing to a tech-enabled, travel-focused business that aims to make mobility more accessible, sustainable, and affordable.

Key Responsibilities

• Find and onboard new intercity bus operator partners and other relevant stakeholders to support regional expansion in the US West.
• Maintain strong, productive relationships with current partners to promote shared growth and profitability.
• Carry out market research to spot trends, business opportunities, and the competitive environment, and use those insights to guide decisions.
• Coordinate closely with internal teams such as Network Planning, Operations, Finance, and Marketing to execute strategy effectively.
• Build and improve processes, and help manage cross-functional projects so work moves smoothly and deliverables are completed on time.
• Review partner performance with data-led analysis and work with internal teams to refine network strategy and improve profitability.
• Represent Flix at industry events, conferences, and meetings to strengthen brand recognition and credibility.

Candidate Profile

• A bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Communications, or a similar field is expected.
• At least 1 year of experience in an outward-facing role such as business development, sales, account management, or strategic work; prospecting experience is preferred.
• You should be adaptable, energized by change, and comfortable working through ambiguity.
• Strong analytical thinking, negotiation ability, communication skills, and confidence in using data to drive decisions are important.
• You must be able to build effective relationships with different types of companies and stakeholders.
• An entrepreneurial, self-directed approach is needed to work independently toward ambitious goals.
• Comfort with cold calling and outreach is essential, including initiating conversations with potential clients and contacts from scratch.
• Spanish fluency is an added advantage.

Compensation

The expected annual salary range for this position is USD 70,000 to USD 90,000.
