Role Overview

This position is for a detail-oriented Software Test Engineer who will join the Product team and help ensure the reliability and quality of SeamlessMD’s digital care programs. The work directly affects thousands of patients, so the role is closely tied to patient safety, usability, and trust.

You will test three connected areas: the patient-facing web application, the iOS and Android mobile apps, and the CMS used to create and manage care plans. The work combines manual and automated testing, with about 70% of time devoted to manual QA and 30% focused on automation. Manual work includes reviewing care plans with Patient Education Specialists, exploratory testing of new functionality, and validating releases. Automation work includes maintaining the Cypress test suite, adding new coverage, and strengthening tests for critical patient journeys.

What You Will Do

• Lead manual QA for digital care plans before launch, working with Patient Education Specialists to make sure the content meets a high standard for patient safety.
• Test new features and product changes across the patient web app and mobile apps on iOS and Android to ensure the experience is consistent and reliable across devices.
• Record, report, and follow defects using issue-tracking tools such as Jira, with clear and actionable detail.
• Plan and run test cases, test scripts, and test plans using black-box, white-box, and exploratory testing methods to catch both common and edge-case problems.
• Help build and run automated tests using tools such as Cypress or Maestro to improve efficiency across web and mobile testing.
• Maintain the existing automated test suite by investigating failures, updating tests for new features, and improving overall stability.
• Look for repetitive or high-risk areas that should be automated, especially important patient workflows, and suggest ways to improve QA processes.
• Work with engineers and cross-functional teams to test CMS updates and new functionality used by internal teams and customers.
• Share testing results clearly with stakeholders and manage your work independently while balancing priorities and deadlines across multiple projects.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking an early-career QA professional with at least 2 years of software quality assurance experience. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with manual testing, writing test cases, and building structured test plans. You should also have experience with automation tools, preferably Cypress, though Selenium, Playwright, or Jest are also acceptable.

Experience testing both web applications and mobile apps is important, including responsive web testing and/or native mobile testing with tools such as Xcode, Android Studio, or Maestro. You should also be comfortable documenting bugs in Jira and working closely with engineers, product teams, and other stakeholders.

Strong communication, ownership, and time management are essential, along with a genuine interest in improving healthcare through technology.
