Role overview
As a Purchasing Analyst, you will support procurement and contracting work from initiation through completion. Your focus will be on helping the business make sound global buying decisions, coordinating the people and activities needed to execute contracts, and ensuring the work meets IT, regulatory, and global compliance standards. You will act as a key resource for procurement and global contract management across assigned projects.
Key responsibilities
- Manage projects end to end, including planning, coordinating internal and external contributors, and updating stakeholders on progress.
- Set budgets, track exceptions, and help resolve contract-related issues as they arise.
- Assist project managers with all matters connected to contracting.
- Make sure global clearance and import/export legal requirements are followed.
- Coordinate efforts between sourcing teams, legal partners, and other project stakeholders.

The ideal candidate builds strong working relationships with suppliers and external partners throughout the contract lifecycle. You should be comfortable handling disagreements professionally, work well under pressure and deadlines, and stay organized while managing several projects at once.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience gained through work and/or military service is required.
- Additional value will be placed on a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a technology-related discipline.
- Experience using project management tools, handling global procurement, or working with contract management processes is preferred.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, communication, negotiation, and influencing skills are important.
- Ability to prepare reports for different audiences and organizational levels is an advantage.

Working arrangement
This role is based in Limerick, County Limerick, Ireland. The position is described as a hybrid arrangement with a set work location, combining work from home with office days scheduled by the manager. The standard weekly working time is 37.5 hours.
