About the company
Aurora Foundry is a small UX design studio in San Francisco that focuses on strategy and design for challenging digital products. The team partners with enterprise organizations, design studios, and startups, and is known for working collaboratively and building durable client relationships.
About the role
This role supports the studio’s internal operations rather than client project management. The Operations Coordinator will help keep work, communication, and day-to-day processes running smoothly so the design team can stay focused. This is a part-time contract position for 6 weeks, paid hourly, and the person in the role will work closely with the founder on operational coordination.
Key responsibilities
- Track timelines for internal initiatives and make sure progress stays visible and on schedule.
- Record meeting notes, action items, and decisions so important follow-ups are not overlooked.
- Handle calendar coordination for new business conversations, design critiques, and other internal meetings.
- Distribute and monitor contractor agreements through the signature process; drafting agreements is not included.
- Take on other connected operational tasks as needed.
What the team is looking for
- Somewhere between 0 and 2 years of experience in a similar support role such as coordination, administration, or operations assistance.
- Excellent organization and follow-through, with the ability to spot issues early.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Direct, proactive communication.
- Prior exposure to a design studio, creative team, or agency setting is an advantage.
Logistics
This opportunity is remote and open to candidates in any location. The assignment runs for 6 weeks at 20 hours per week, with a possible renewal option. Compensation is $25 per hour in USD. The start date is flexible and depends on candidate availability.
