Role Overview

This position is a full-time, on-campus Matron role based in Dehradun. The incumbent will be responsible for the care, comfort, and overall wellbeing of students in the residential setting. The role focuses on daily supervision, emotional support, health awareness, and ensuring that students live in a secure, orderly, and supportive environment.

Key Duties

The Matron will help manage students’ day-to-day routines, observe their physical and emotional condition, and respond to their needs with sensitivity. The role also involves working closely with other staff members to uphold discipline, maintain a calm residential atmosphere, and provide mentoring and guidance where required.

Qualifications and Experience

• A graduate degree is required.
• At least 3 years of full-time experience in a respected residential school is needed.
• Knowledge and practical support experience in maternity and midwifery are expected.
• Applicants should demonstrate empathy, patience, and effective communication skills.
• The role requires readiness to work in a residential school environment and remain available for on-call duties.
• Training or certification in nursing, healthcare, or midwifery will be considered a strong advantage.
• Experience in schools or other educational institutions is beneficial.
