Role overview
WeWork India is hiring a driven and entrepreneurial Manager for Strategy & Innovation to own major strategy and innovation work across the organisation. The role sits at the heart of transformation and growth projects and involves partnering with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, shape solutions, execute plans, and support adoption.
This position combines strategic planning, structured problem-solving, PMO discipline, stakeholder coordination, analytics, and innovation management. The person in this role will help spot emerging opportunities, solve complex business issues, create scalable frameworks, and build alignment around key strategic priorities.
You will independently handle important initiatives from concept through delivery, often in situations where priorities shift and clarity is limited. The role calls for close interaction with CXO-level stakeholders, senior functional leaders, and some exposure to the CEO and the CEO’s office. Beyond strategy execution, you will also help strengthen a culture of innovation by setting up mechanisms, programs, and governance that support both incremental and breakthrough ideas across teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead strategic initiatives from early ideation through implementation and adoption.
- Own execution of high-impact company-wide projects, starting from problem framing and solution design through rollout and adoption, while working with CXO-level stakeholders.
- Serve as the central PMO owner for important cross-functional programs, ensuring strong governance, disciplined execution, active stakeholder management, and on-time delivery.
- Develop business cases, strategic frameworks, data models, dashboards, and analytical insights that support informed decisions.
- Convert unclear business challenges into structured analysis, practical recommendations, and scalable implementation roadmaps.
- Partner with the BI team to define and build the right data points and dashboards for ongoing initiatives.
- Work alongside technology and engineering teams in a role similar to a quasi-product manager.
- Track emerging trends, disruptive business models, technologies, customer expectations, and innovation practices relevant to the organisation.
- Compare industry and global best practices to surface strategic opportunities for the business.
- Turn external insights into actionable recommendations, innovation themes, and future-focused opportunities for leadership.
- Support the creation of an organisation-wide mindset of innovation, experimentation, and continuous improvement.
- Design and run programs, frameworks, and engagement methods that encourage both incremental and disruptive ideation across teams.
- Build governance processes to evaluate, prioritise, incubate, and scale promising ideas.
- Help leadership teams develop the readiness and capabilities needed for innovation and transformation efforts.
Requirements
- 5 to 8 years of experience in strategy, innovation, consulting, business transformation, program management, or other cross-functional business roles in fast-paced environments.
- Background in strategy or innovation teams within high-growth companies or consulting firms is preferred.
- Proven experience independently leading complex, high-stakes cross-functional projects with senior stakeholder involvement.
- Ability to work closely with CXO-level leaders and align multiple functions toward a common goal.
- Strong structured thinking and analytical problem-solving abilities.
- Solid capability in data analysis and business modelling.
- Comfort working in ambiguous, changing environments with a high degree of ownership and accountability.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.
- Good program management skills with the ability to coordinate several workstreams at once.
- Entrepreneurial approach with a strong bias toward action and outcome delivery.
- Ability to combine long-term strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
- Strong interest in innovation, organisational transformation, and building scalable business solutions.
